PVC & uPVC Pipe Supplier in Taif

4B Factory supplies PVC and uPVC pipe to Taif from its Al-Kharj plant, roughly 700 kilometres away by road. The range covers watermain pressure pipe in Classes 4 and 5, sewer and drain pipe from 110 to 710 mm, perforated drainage pipe and SAS 254 duct, with standards documentation issued by product line for project approval.

Manufactured in Saudi Arabia and sold factory-direct, for the city on the escarpment, the terraced farms above it and the governorates east toward the plateau.

The Taif Market

Why Elevation Changes the Specification

Taif sits at roughly 1,879 metres on the slopes of the Hijaz range, and the ground falls away sharply to the west toward the coastal plain. That gradient is the single most important fact for anyone specifying pipe in the governorate, and it is what separates a Taif schedule from a schedule written for a flat coastal or plateau city.

Elevation difference becomes static head. A gravity main running down an escarpment accumulates pressure with every metre of fall, so a line that would sit comfortably in Class 4 across level ground can exceed that rating partway down a descent. Surge on valve closure adds to it. The result is that Class 5 uPVC, rated to around 16 Bar, is specified far more often in the Taif area than the national average would suggest, and pressure zoning matters more than diameter.

The second consequence is drainage. Steep catchments shed water fast, and Taif receives more rainfall than most of the Kingdom. Stormwater and wadi crossings need capacity sized for short, intense events rather than for average annual figures.

Where They Are Used

Applications Across the Taif Governorate

Escarpment Gravity Mains

Distribution running down significant elevation change, where accumulated static head and surge push the specification toward Class 5 and toward proper pressure zoning.

Wadi & Stormwater Drainage

Large-diameter gravity lines sized for short, high-intensity rainfall on steep catchments, where peak flow rather than annual average governs the diameter.

Terraced Farm Irrigation

Pressure mains and distribution to rose, grape, fig and pomegranate plots on terraced ground, where each terrace level changes the working pressure at the outlet.

Slope & Terrace Drainage

Perforated uPVC relieving water behind retaining structures and beneath cultivated terraces, where uncontrolled saturation is a stability problem as much as an agronomic one.

Municipal & Residential Networks

Water and gravity sewerage for districts extending across the plateau around the city, together with duct for power and telecom reticulation on new plots.

Booster & Pump Stations

ASTM Schedule 40 and 80 pipe for above-ground pressure duty inside pump houses and booster stations serving the higher zones of the network.

Site Conditions

Two Things Worth Planning for in Taif

Rock, not sand

Much of the governorate is founded on rock rather than the sand and gravel of the plateau. Trenching is slower and more expensive, bedding material usually has to be imported, and the temptation is to reduce cover depth to save excavation. That is the wrong economy. uPVC is a flexible pipe that depends on correct bedding and surround to distribute load, and a line laid directly onto rock fragments concentrates point loading on the barrel.

Getting the class right before you order

On sloping ground the class cannot be read off the diameter. Work out the static head at the lowest point of each pressure zone, add an allowance for surge, and specify against that figure. Ordering a full run in Class 4 because the top of the zone is comfortable is the most common and most expensive error we see on elevated schemes. Send us the long section and we will check the class with you before the quotation is issued.

For background before specifying, see the pressure classes and sizes guide and the PVC pipe price guide.

Why Four Brothers

Why Choose 4B Factory for a Taif Project

Class 5 as Standard Stock

Class 5 uPVC is a routine production item rather than a special order, which matters on elevated schemes where the higher rating is the norm and not the exception.

Class Checking Before Quotation

Send the long section or the zone levels and our technical team will verify the class against static head and surge before pricing, rather than after delivery.

Fabricated to Drawing

Long bends, flanged sockets and repair couplings made to order at 6 to 16 Bar, which is useful where terrain forces routing that standard fittings do not cover.

Factory-Direct Pricing

No distributor margin on project-scale orders, and one accountable manufacturer for every product line on the schedule.

Standards Documentation

SAS, SASO, ASTM and DIN documentation issued by product line, in the form required for municipal and government approval submissions.

Technical Support

A Saudi-based team, in Arabic and English, for class selection, size checking, bill of quantities preparation and submittal documentation.

FAQs

PVC Pipe Supply in Taif: Common Questions

Yes. 4B Factory delivers the full PVC and uPVC range to Taif city, Al-Hada, Al-Shafa and the surrounding governorate direct from the Al-Kharj plant, roughly 700 kilometres away by road. Loads are consolidated and scheduled against the project programme, and a confirmed lead time is issued with the quotation.

Specify against the static head at the lowest point of the pressure zone, not at the top. Elevation difference converts directly into pressure, and surge on valve closure adds to it, so Class 5 at around 16 Bar is specified on Taif escarpment mains far more often than Class 4 at around 10 Bar. Send us the long section and we will check it with you.

Stormwater on steep catchments is normally sized on peak flow rather than annual rainfall, which pushes diameters up. We produce uPVC sewer and drain pipe to SAS 1395 and 1396 from 110 to 710 mm in Class 2 to Class 4, in 6 and 9 metre lengths with integral joints.

Yes. Perforated uPVC is produced from 75 to 500 mm in straight or staggered patterns, with the slot arrangement made to the open-area requirement specified. It is used behind retaining structures and beneath cultivated terraces to relieve water that would otherwise saturate the slope.

It affects the bedding rather than the pipe. uPVC is a flexible pipe that relies on correct bedding and surround to distribute load, so laying it directly onto rock fragments concentrates point loading on the barrel. Imported bedding material and proper surround are worth the cost on rock excavation.

Yes. Long bends, flanged sockets, spigots and repair and register couplings are fabricated to order at the Al-Kharj plant and rated 6 to 16 Bar. Terrain often forces routing that standard fittings do not cover, so send the drawing with the enquiry and the item is quoted alongside the pipe.

Pipes are manufactured to Saudi Standards, including SAS 1395 and 1396 for sewer and drain and SAS 254 and 255 for duct, with ASTM and DIN compliance where specified. Standards documentation is supplied by product line in the form required for municipal and government project approval submissions.
